Cetirizine dihydrochloride is the active ingredient of Cetriz 10 mg Film-coated Tablets. Cetriz 10 mg Film-coated Tablets are an anti allergic medication. In adults and children aged 6 years and above, Cetriz 10 mg Film-coated Tablets are indicated:
• for the relief of symptoms of hayfever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) and allergies such as dust or pet allergies (perennial allergic rhinitis) such as sneezing, itchy, runny and blocked nose, red and watery eyes.
• for the relief of swelling, redness and itchiness of the skin (symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria, which is also known as chronic nettle rash).
Cetirizine is an antihistamine medicine which is mostly found in hayfever and allergy tablets, it provides relief to allergy symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, runny or blocked nose, watery and itchy eyes. The effect of Cetirizine is non drowsy in comparison to other antihistamines.
Cetirizine works by blocking certain natural substances such as histamine, which is what your body produces during an allergic reaction. The allergy medicine starts to work within one hour and provides hayfever relief for at least 24 hours with a single dose.
How to take Cetirizine for allergy relief:
Take one Cetirizine once a day
Swallow one tablet whole with water
You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3 days.
